Vauxhall unveils all-new Corsavan
It is more important than ever for UK drivers to keep their car functioning and on the road.
The cost of owning a car is creeping upwards and the last thing hard-hit drivers need is expensive repair work to their car.
Which is why it’s no surprise to see sales of Vauxhall MasterFit service plans increase by a massive 86.5 per cent in 2010.
The plans ensure the car is in working order and can prevent wear and tear leading to greater problems in the long run. However, it’s the ability to spread payments across monthly payments should appeal to customers looking for more flexibility along with their piece of mind.

We spoke to Phil Jarman, Regional Aftersales Manager at our Perrys MasterFit centre in Rotherham about the benefits of the scheme.

The idea behind the service is simple: owners of cars two years or older can become a member of the MasterFit Service Club, which offers exclusive offers and discounts on service and maintenance work.
There is also the added benefit of parts and labour being linked to the age of the vehicle; the older the car, the larger the discount the driver is offered.

Vauxhall unveiled its latest version of the Corsavan at the Brussels Motor Show last week, featuring an all-new exterior and a revised interior and chassis.
Priced between £11,858 and £14,558, the new Corsavan is available in two trim levels and is available to order now before it rolls into UK showrooms in the middle of February.
Steve Bryant, Vauxhall’s head of commercial vehicle brand, said: “Vauxhall’s all-new Corsavan is stylish, comfortable and affordable to run.
“Like its award-winning predecessor, it will hold massive appeal to van drivers, small businesses, fleet decision-makers and company drivers alike.”
According to Vauxhall, the Corsavan replaces the successful previous model with a new class-leading payload that, at 571kg has 21kg over the outgoing model, plus loading capacity of 920 litres.
Vauxhall also says that driver ergonomics have been increased, with new seats and improved refinement with lowered noise and vibration levels to make it more comfortable than ever.
Standard equipment on the entry-level Corsavan includes an extensive range of electronic stability and driver assistancefeatures, plus six airbags and one-touch electric windows.
Electric door mirrors also feature, along with a stereo system that features DAB digital radio, plus MP3 and Bluetooth connectivity, a tyre pressure monitoring system and adaptive power steering.
Meanwhile, the range-topping Corsavan Sportive model benefits from extra features like air conditioning, a choice of metallic or pearlescent paint and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Sportive also comes with ambient interior lighting and a heated windscreen, plus sports seats in the front, a leather-covered steering wheel and cruise control in addition to automatic wipers.
A wide range of extra options are also available for the new Corsavan, including electronic climate control and a Technical Pack which adds collision alert and lane departure functions among others.
Vauxhall’s IntelliLink infotainment system is also available with a seven-inch touchscreen, plus 16-inch black alloy wheels and rear parking sensors to help guide it into tight spots.
Engine options include four Euro-6 compliant petrol and diesel engines, with a choice of one petrol and one diesel unit offering economy figures of up to 83.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 90g/km.
A 1.2-litre 69bhp petrol unit is available, while the Corsavan can also be specified with a 1.3-litre diesel available with outputs of either 74bhp or 94bhp with start-stop technology as standard.
