SEAT shows off its fleet credentials
SEAT proved itself to be one of the main attractions at the Company Car in Action event last week, showing off its credentials in front of a 10-strong fleet of demonstrators.
Allowing fleet drivers and operators to get behind the wheels of some of the newest and best cars on the market, attendees racked up the miles in the very latest SEAT models.
Particularly impressing the drivers was the high-performance Leon ST Cupra 280, which can zip its occupants to 62mph from a standstill in just 6.1 seconds, but still returns over 40mpg.
High interest in the Leon Cupra
Likewise, visitors were also taken with the new SEAT Leon X-PERIENCE, the latest addition to the Leon family, which marries genuine off-road ability with the regular model’s attractive specification.
Equipped with a wide range of equipment, the X-PERIENCE equipped with 182 2.0-litre diesel engine still can return as much as 57.6mpg with just 129g/km of CO2 emissions.
Also on show was SEAT’s city car, the Mii, alongside the distinctive special-edition Mii by MANGO, which turned heads alongside the sporty Ibiza FR supermini and the Alhambra MPV.
Broad range of cars
Jason Coleman, national fleet manager at SEAT said: “Company Car in Action is a fantastic opportunity to us to demonstrate the breadth of talent in our range of cars.
“The current SEAT range has been enhanced further by the additions of ST CUPRA 280 and Leon X-PERIENCE. These are genuinely exciting vehicles that employees will look forward to driving.
“The appeal of SEAT isn’t at the cost of environmental credentials however; with BIK ratings starting at 14% and emissions as low as 88g of CO2 per km, fleet managers can rest assured that adding an injection of fun to the fleet won’t cost the earth.”
Back in April, the SEAT Leon was also honoured with two impressive prizes at the Auto Express Driver Power customer satisfaction survey, having been named the Best Compact Family Car and also received a prize for Best In-Car Tech.
SEAT Leon wins big in Auto Express survey
Steve Fowler, Auto Express editor-in-chief, said: “The SEAT Leon is a serial Auto Express Award winner and it seems owners feel the same way.
“Not only has it beaten some strong competition to top the compact family class, thanks to a fine blend of good performance mixed with affordable running costs, the tech on offer has also been well above owners’ expectations.”
