Perrys Portsmouth advises on air conditioning for summer

A modern car’s air-conditioning system works hard all year
to maintain a comfortable temperature for drivers and passengers, while
filtering out pollen and dust and minimising condensation. Like other systems
in the car, it should be maintained periodically.
"Mazda’s air-conditioning inspection is designed to
spot any faults in the system before they affect its performance or cause
potentially costly damage – and to ensure cool and comfortable summer
driving," explains General Manager, Bob Wright.
"There are many sound reasons for checking a system
that we all take for granted. Drivers who do not use their car’s air-con as
much in the winter encourage the generation of condensation on the pipes which
can create a breeding ground for bacteria.
“This can cause unpleasant odours and even result in sore
throats, sneezing and irritated eyes. Also, every year approximately 15 percent
of the air-con gas escapes naturally, gradually reducing the efficiency of the
system," adds Bob.
For just £79.95 specially trained Mazda technicians will
carry out the air-conditioning inspection which includes: visual check of all
system components, recharging to recommended levels, adding fresh oil to system
as necessary, and cleaning the system to clear any bacterial build up and
remove any unpleasant smells.
To ensure customers have a complete maintenance record for
their vehicle, the air-conditioning Inspection will be entered into Mazda’s
Digital Service Record.
Every customer bringing a Mazda in for an Air-conditioning
Inspection will also receive a free Mazda air-freshener and bottle of Mazda
Summer Screen wash.
