New Nissan Qashqai 360 launched
The new Nissan Qashqai 360 will enter the market at the same price as the outgoing n-tec+ at £19,945, but will feature more equipment than ever before.
Nissan is confident that the new Qashqai 360 is set to be the best-selling model in the line-up. The specification will be available on five-seater Qashqai and seven-seater Qashqai+2 models.
The 360 trim will be available across all engine and transmission options. Likely to be a hit with the public will be the 1.6 dCi trim, which is able to emit CO2 emissions of 119g/km and can produce 62.8mpg on its combined cycle.
Features on the 360 include Nissan's Connect with 360° Around View Monitor system. The system also integrates sat-nav functionality, Bluetooth, smartphone connectivity and more.
Four cameras will also be available on the car to give drivers a helicopter-style view when attempting to park. Standard features on the 360 also include 18-inch 'Onyx' alloy wheels, rear privacy glass and a panoramic roof.
Style-wise the Qashqai 360 will have part-leather trim with double white stitching complemented by a gloss-black gearlever surround, gloss black door handles and a leather armrest.
The black theme is apparent on other parts of the new Qashqai, and includes black roof rails, door mirrors and '360' badges on the car's exterior. Buyers will also be able to buy the car in Storm White pearlescent paint for £500 extra.
The n-tec+ line was a huge success for Nissan in 2012, and accounted for approximately 60 per cent of overall sales in the UK. The n-tec+ managed to outsell Ford's entire Mondeo line, and also outsold the Kia Sportage.
