Kia Picanto tops city car segment

The Kia Picanto has
been awarded the highest ranking in the city car segment according to the J.D.
Power 2016 UK Vehicle Dependability Study. The study, now in its second year,
measures problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of
vehicles in the UK after 12-36 months of ownership.
Success
In addition to this, Kia has also been named the third
most dependable brand overall in the 2016 Nameplate VDS Ranking, with just 80
problems per 100 vehicles tested within the study. These results follow on from
the success of last year’s study, where Kia also finished in the top three most
dependable brands.
Fantastic
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia Motors UK says: “This
news is fantastic for our small city car, the Picanto, and indeed for our brand
in the UK. This result is testament to the Picanto’s rigorous development and
build quality, something which will continue to the all-new Picanto in 2017.”
Refreshed
Moving forward into the third quarter of 2016, Kia has refreshed
and upgraded the Picanto with simplified model structures, extra equipment and
new trim grades on its five-door models to make them even more appealing in an
increasingly competitive UK small-car market.
The Picanto now starts from £8,545.
