Chevrolet announces Spark wrapping service
Designed for people buying the four-door car as a present this Christmas, Chevrolet is offering a service to wrap the car in special Chevrolet wrapping paper.
Taking up forty six square metres of wrapping paper and ninety nine rolls of sticky tape, the gift-wrapping service covers the entire car in time for Christmas.
Les Turton of Chevrolet comments: "Everyone loves unwrapping presents. It's one of the highlights that all of the family can enjoy on Christmas Day. For those lucky people who will receive a Chevrolet Spark for Christmas we wanted to do something a bit special this year to make the present opening ritual a bit more fun."
To coincide with the launch of the service, Chevrolet has calculated the time people in the UK spend on wrapping presents.
It found the average person in the UK spends an average of 1.9 hours wrapping presents each year, but women were found to spend twice as much time as men.
However, the research also found ten per cent of Brits do not wrap presents at all because it is too much effort.
Turton added: "With so much time being spent wrapping and hiding gifts under the tree, we wanted to take the hard work away and provide a bespoke service that would make our customers smile."
Customers have until Tuesday 21 December to pre-book the Spark gift-wrapping service to ensure it is done in time for Christmas, says Chevrolet.
The five-door Chevrolet Spark city car was first introduced early in 2010. Prices start from £6,945 for the entry level model.
The middle specification Spark, the Spark +, starts from £8,395 and adds CD-Radio with MP3 connectivity and air conditioning to the standard specification.
At the top of the range, the Spark LS is priced from £8,695 and includes front fog lamps, body colour rear roof spoiler, an adjustable steering column, remote central locking and body colour door handles and mirrors.
