All-New Kia Sportage
The all-new Kia Sportage is a giant technological leap with a range of hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The PHEV model has an electric range of 34 miles with a 13.8kWh battery and a 7.2kWh onboard charger, offering a 100% charge in 2.5 hours. There’s also a self-charging hybrid with 227bhp and a 1.6 turbocharged mild hybrid. A DCT transmission and over 10 driving aids cement the all-new Sportage as a serious driver’s car, all wrapped up in a sporty, high-tech body that oozes quality.
This is the first Sportage to offer Level 2 semi-autonomous driving and a suite of advanced driving aids like blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. The high-tech body offers alloy wheels up to 19” and all models have striking LED headlights. Handy features like an electric tailgate, keyless entry and a rear parking camera are available as standard. An all-new X-Line trim offers rugged styling or you can go for the GT-line for sportier styling. 4x2 and 4x4 versions of the all-new Sportage will be available.
The exterior of the all-new Sportage is a radical departure from models of old, with an angular body, a striking LED headlight profile and 18” or 19” alloy wheels. Keyless entry and an electric tailgate are available as standard. The side profile is sporty and poised, giving the sense you can be ready for anything. GT-Line models wear sporty styling or you can go for the X-Line which has chunkier bumpers with a rugged styling pack.
The all-new Sportage has a fully digital instrument cluster and an enormous 8” or 12.3” touchscreen. Wireless charging, voice control and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard with over-the-air updates. The high-quality cockpit is available with heated front and rear outer seats, leather and suede upholstery and ambient lighting. The boot offers up over 450-litres of space across all versions including the PHEV.
The range-topping hybrid is the PHEV which has a 13.8kWh battery for a 34 mile EV range. A self-charging hybrid is also available as is a mild hybrid. The self-charging hybrid has a 1.49kWh battery with a 1-2 mile EV range and 227bhp.
The all-new Sportage is available with the DriveWise ADAS suite, which includes Smart Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Highway Driving Assist, with the latter feature providing semi-autonomous driving.
Inside, the all-new Sportage has dual 12.3” displays (a touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster). These systems give you complete control over your media and car settings, with a variety of physical buttons for important controls.
The all-new Sportage will be offered in 4x2 and 4x4 models. In addition to hybrid and petrol power, a diesel engine will also be available. The electronically-controlled 4x4 system offers outstanding grip with dedicated traction modes.
