New and Returning Motability Customers to Get One Off Discount
With the everyday cost of living rising every year, Motability has introduced a £250 “new vehicle” one-off payment to its customers, hoping this will attract new and returning customers when it comes to purchasing a new accessible vehicle.
Customers new to the Motability scheme will be able to get their £250 payment within a couple of days after taking delivery of their new car or wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV).
Whereas existing customers, who already had an agreement in place as of 31st December 2021, will be eligible for the payment as well should they decide to renew their vehicle on the Scheme.
As per the offer’s terms and conditions, this payment is only available once per customer, and the easiest way to receive it is via bank transfer. If bank transfer is not your preferred payment method, this can be changed in your Motability Scheme online account to choose a cheque as a payment method in order to receive your one-off payment, however, bear in mind that this can take a little longer to arrive.
There is no rush for customers new to the Scheme to place an order right away, as it’s better to consider what options may be suited to your needs. By visiting your closest Perrys dealership, you will be able to speak to a knowledgeable team who will answer any questions you may have and guide you through your application process.
Motability hasn’t said when they’ll be stopping this one-off payment. However, they said that even if existing customers aren’t collecting their new car or WAV within a couple of years, waiting instead until their lease runs out, they will still qualify for this “new car scheme” as long as they were customers on the 31st December 2021 and place their order before the end of 2022.
New and existing customers will appreciate that accepting this Motability payment will not affect their Good Condition bonus, End of Contract Bonus, or even the amount they receive on the Scheme.
Lastly, important to note is that this £250 payment will be in addition to the £60 rebate to customers who joined the Scheme before 18 July 2021.
