The Ford Transit sets the standard at work. Now available as a 5-tonne model, with L2, L3 and L4 body lengths and H2 and H3 roof heights, it offers up to 15.1m3 of load space and a payload up to 2,250kg. It’s also available as a double cab in van, seating up to seven people. A Euro 6.2 compliant 2.0 TDCi EcoBlue engine with up to 185PS and a Hybrid variant of the same engine with up to 170PS ensure low running costs, and front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions are available, unlocking newfound levels of versatility.
You can spec your Transit with Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane-Keeping Aid and Blind Spot Monitoring to semi-automate cruising. Active Park Assist will semi-automate parking and SYNC 3 Navigation with live traffic will adjust your route for efficiency. Trims include Leader, Trend, Trail and Limited. All panel vans have a full-height metal bulkhead while double cabs get a glazed bulkhead.

The Transit is available with single or dual rear wheels, in FWD, RWD and AWD configurations, and in a variety of trim levels. Limited models top the range with bi-xenon headlights and 17” alloy wheels. Trail models are built for field work, with the option of AWD, easy-clean leather seats and a unique FORD front grille. Whichever version you get, the Transit is a confident van that makes a great first impression.
Offering a 5,000kg GVM and up to 2,383 kg net payload, the Transit is an exceptionally capable van. The cargo area has DIN/ISO tie down points and the cargo area will take four Euro pallets in the smallest version. Up front, the panel van has space for three and from Trend an 8” SYNC 3 touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Trend models also get a Quickclear heated windscreen and driver’s seat lumbar support.
The 2.0 TDCi EcoBlue engine has 105PS, 130PS, 190PS or 185PS, or you can choose a 48V mild hybrid version of the same engine. A 6-speed automatic gearbox is available optionally with certain engines for a smooth, responsive drive.
Rear-wheel drive is the traditional layout for heavier duty applications, while front-wheel drive offers greater efficiency and load space. All-wheel drive is suited to rescue services or utility companies where field work is often undertaken.
From Trend, all versions have cruise control and front and rear parking sensors. Limited models also get Side Park Assist. Optionally, you can add Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist and a front-view camera.
Trail and Limited
Trail models are available with all-wheel drive and have full leather seats, 16” black alloys and a FORD front grille. Limited models have bi-xenon headlights, 16” silver alloy wheels, a leather gearshift knob and a body-coloured front bumper.
