At the end of your lease, you could receive some money back if your car or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle is returned in great condition and meets a few other requirements
The Motability Good Condition Payment (GCP) is a little thank you for looking after your car! At Perrys, we want to ensure you fully understand all the benefits and features of the Motability Scheme. There are several important aspects to consider, and we’re here to guide you through every step.
The Good Condition Payment is Motability’s way of appreciating the care you’ve taken. While you can’t keep your Motability vehicle at the end of your lease, it’s important that you keep your car or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) in good condition in order to qualify for a payment at the end of your lease.
And the best part is – you can spend it however you like! Whether you put it towards your next car or treat yourself to something special, it’s a nice bonus for keeping your car in good condition.
Here are the five sets of criteria to follow:
Make sure that your vehicle is regularly serviced and ensure that all repairs are fixed before you return the vehicle to Perrys.
When your lease comes to an end, you’ll need to return your vehicle to Perrys with the following items:
If you don’t have one of these items, you can give us a call and we can arrange replacements for you. You’ll be able to make an insurance claim for lost keys but be aware that you’ll need to pay your excess which counts as a claim on your insurance history.
Your leased vehicle must be returned to Perrys with a valid MOT test certificate. This should be arranged with us prior to returning your vehicle.
All outstanding debts/charges with Perrys must be paid off. These can include hire car fines, speeding tickets, stopped allowances in arrears or unpaid recovery costs.
If these aren’t paid and if your debts are less than the GCP, this will be used to pay off the debts and what’s left will be returned to you.
Your car lease will be in place for either three or five years. The GCP will only be returned if you have the vehicle for the agreed full term of your lease.
