Vauxhall Mokka reaches 200,000 orders milestone
Even more encouraging for Vauxhall, the popularity of the Mokka shows no signs of fading at the moment. The mini-SUV saw its best order intake ever across Europe in the month of February 2014.
Sales for the Vauxhall Mokka have doubled across Europe less than one year after it hit its sales target of 100,000 units back in April 2013.
In the UK alone the Mokka has been well received, with over 36,000 orders made across Britain since the car’s launch. From these sales, as many as 14,000 units of the Mokka were sold during last year alone.
In the compact SUV market segment here the Vauxhall Mokka sits number two overall, with a 17 per cent market share.

The innovative Vauxhall Mokka is a fairly small but also tough-looking family vehicle which offers plenty of room for five occupants. It also has a higher seating position then the Vauxhall Corsa which it is based on, making it suitable for diverse daily needs.
Its sporty interior as well as its exterior design also makes it ideal for adventure-packed weekends.Inside the boot can store 362 litres of luggage as standard. This boot space can be increased to a further 1,372 litres by folding the seats down.
In terms of kit, the Mokka’s exterior features 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, along with heated and electric mirrors plus roof rails.
Standard equipment inside all Mokka models includes air conditioning, steering wheel mounted controls, cruise control, split folding rear seats and a digital radio.
Engine options meanwhile include a 1.4-litre petrol engine with 138bhp, linked to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. With this powertrain the Mokka can complete the 0-62mph sprint in just 9.9 seconds, topping out at a max speed of 120mph. It also manages a combined fuel economy figure of 47.9mpg and emits just 139g/km of CO2 emissions.
Other engine choices include an 113bhp 1.6-litre petrol unit and a 1.7-litre CDTi diesel with 128bhp. This diesel is the most efficient unit for the Mokka, returning 62mph combined and just 120g/km in CO2.
