Prices for updated Nissan Juke announced
Nissan has confirmed the prices and specifications for its refreshed Juke range, which arrives in showrooms from June 2014. The updated version of the compact crossover SUV will be priced from £13,420.
The updated Nissan Juke offers new frugal engines, four trim levels and a large number of personalisation options. The Juke’s series of updates have been introduced to keep it on terms with more recently launched rivals like the Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008.
The four trim levels for the updated Nissan Juke include ‘Visia’, ‘Acenta’, ‘Acenta Premium’ and ‘Tekna’.
Visia is the most basic trim level for the updated Juke and it comes with two engine options. These include an entry-level 1.6-litre petrol unit with 93bhp and a 1.5-litre dCi diesel with 109bhp. The dCi diesel benefits from fuel-saving stop-start engine technology.
Standard equipment for Visia-trim Juke models includes 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning and daytime running lights.
The updated Nissan Juke Acenta starts from £15,320. It offers the same engines as the Visia trim, as well as a 1.6-litre DIG-T turbocharged petrol unit with 113bhp. Like the dCi diesel the turbo engine benefits from stop-start technology.
There’s more equipment with the Acenta-trimmed Juke as well, including climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and rear privacy glass. It also adds bigger 17-inch alloy wheels.
Pricing for the Acenta Premium-trimmed Juke will start at £17,865. With this trim the crossover car offers the same engines again including the 1.6-litre DIG-T. This unit, however, now has an increased power output of 187bhp.
While the Juke utilises front-wheel drive as standard, models with the 187bhp petrol have optional four-wheel drive available.
The Acenta Premium carries over the same equipment from the two trims below it and adds a reversing camera, an armrest and the ability to personalise the interior colours extensively. This interior personalisation package is provided through NissanDesign Studio.
Customers who choose a new Nissan Juke Acenta Premium with the 1.6 DIG-T engine also receive 18-inch alloy wheels, an engine start button and electric folding and heated door mirrors.
Meanwhile, the updated Nissan Juke in the range-topping Tekna trim begins from £18,670. Here the car offers the same three engines as the Acenta Premium trim.
Even more luxury equipment is added as standard with the Tekna trim however. This includes leather seats which are heated on the front row, rain-sensing wipers and the Nissan Safety Shield package. The latter is a £400 option for the Acenta Premium trim.
The Safety Shield package, also available on the new Nissan Qashqai and Note, assists drivers by providing lane departure and blind spot warnings and advanced moving object detection.
