Peugeot revises 5008 model range

Peugeot Revises 5008 Model Range

Peugeot's makeover of the 5008 comes mid-way through the model's lifespan, with the re-styled update featuring significant external changes to enhance the visual appeal of the compact MPV.

Furthermore, the refreshed Peugeot 5008 now benefits from external and internal upgrades, a higher specification, new equipment and revised pricing.

One of the key visual features for the new 5008 is the latest Peugeot family 'face', consisting of the 'floating' front grille that can be seen on the recently-launched 208 and 2008 models.

Flanking the well-received grille are redesigned headlamps with a new LED signature built into the lower portion. The model's front also features chrome-trimmed, C-shaped fog lamps.

Peugeot is now offering its 5008 compact MPV in nine exterior colours, including the new 'Rich Oak' and 'Artense Grey' - all of which are enhanced with extra chrome trim around the windows.

Also available are numerous types of alloy wheels, with sizes ranging from 16-inches to 18-inches, including a new 17-inch diamond 'Anthra Grey' alloy wheel design.

Standard specification across the 5008 range has been enhanced, although this has brought a small increase in price. The price increases are as follows: £200 on Access models, £300 on Active versions and £350 on Allure variants.

However, rest assured that the value of the new specification, along with the re-styled exterior, easily outweigh the new additional costs. The new starting price for the Peugeot 5008 compact MPV range is now £18,800.

New standard equipment within the seven-seater models includes a reversing camera and heads-up display (HUD).

A total of six powertrains are available: four diesels and two petrol, mated with either a manual gearbox, automatic transmission or semi-automatic ETG6 (Efficient Tronic Gearbox).

CO2 emissions across the engine line-up range from 113g/km to 164g/km, with powertrains returning combined fuel economy of between 40.4mpg and 65.7mpg.

The diesel engine range consists of the 115bhp 1.6-litre e-HDi FAP (ETG6), 115bhp 1.6-litre HDi FAP (six-speed manual), 150bhp 2.0-litre HDi FAP (six-speed manual) and the 163bhp 2.0-litre HDi FAP (six-speed automatic).

The Peugeot 5008 petrol line-up includes the 120bhp 1.6-litre VTi engine, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, and the 156bhp 1.6-litre THP, mated with a six-speed manual transmission.
