Peugeot 3008 special editions revealed

Peugeot 3008 Special Editions Revealed

Currently, the 3008 line-up comprises Active, Sport and Exclusive specification levels, but Peugeot has expanded this to include a new SR level and a special edition ENVY model.

The crossover, which combines the practicality of an MPV with the style of an SUV, is now available in SR trim, which adds Grip Control, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity to the Sport specification.

It also comes with Mud + Snow tyres to cope with off-road and poor weather, and costs £2,000 more than the Sport model at £20,645.

Fitted with Peugeot's diesel engine delivering 112bhp, the Peugeot 3008 SR comes with the option of a six-speed manual or six-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox seen on the new 508 saloon.

The Special Edition ENVY model is also based on the Sport specification, but adds exclusive features such as a panoramic glass roof, dark tinted rear windows, a head-up display and some aluminium touches to the exterior.

This builds on the standard specification including air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Control, radioCD player, front fog lights, ABS and a Multiflex interior featuring flat folding rear seats.

The Peugeot 3008 ENVY Special Edition comes with the same diesel engine as the SR but also offers a petrol alternative in the form of the 1.6-litre VTi 120bhp model.

Petrol versions come with a five-speed manual gearbox and diesel derivatives are available with a six-speed manual transmission.

The latter costs £18,895 and the diesel model is priced at £20,495, just £600 more than the Sport specification.

Named the first ever winner of the What Car? Crossover of the Year award and the prestigious Car of the Year in 2010, the Peugeot 3008 crossover is on sale now, with entry-level Active 1.6-litre petrol models starting from £16,595.
