Nissan Qashqai 360 adds high-tech parking camera
Appropriately named the Qashqai 360, it replaces the n-tec+ specification from the current Qashqai line-up and it sits between the mid-range Acenta trim and the range-topping Tekna.
The 360 specification is likely to become the best selling model in the Qashqai range, considering its predecessor the n-tec+ accounted for 60 per cent of the family car’s sales in the UK.
The biggest new feature of this new model is called the Around View Monitor. This standard feature is made up of four external wide angle cameras built into each side of the Qashqai, which allows the driver a 360 degree bird’s eye view of the vehicle’s surroundings.
The driver can view what is around the Qashqai using the car’s touch-screen monitor display built-in the centre console. Nissan has emphasised how particularly useful this feature will be on the Qashqai, particularly when attempting a trick parking manoeuvre into a bay or an attempt at parallel parking.
The Around View Monitor then could help greatly reduce the risk of an accidental collision for the driver when attempting a potentially perilous parking manoeuvre, especially in a crowded area.
The 360 trim level also adds other new exterior and interior features to the Nissan Qashqai. For the outside the updated Qashqai now adds 18″ Onyx alloy wheels, gloss black door handles and a panoramic glass roof for the top.
Inside the Qashqai 360 now also adds a leather armrest, to join the rest of standard equipment list which includes satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The Nissan Qashqai 360 is on sale now, with prices starting the same as the n-tec+ trim it replaces, which means it begins from £19,945.
The crossover SUV can be ordered now from Perrys Nissan Dealership based in Blackburn.
