New Renault Bizu range brings down prices
Despite the 'limited edition' name, the Bizu name is more of a new level of specification for the cars, which include models from the Twingo, Clio, Megane and Scenic ranges.
The Bizu models will be the cheapest models in each of the ranges as Renault looks to make its new cars more accessible to customers.
The Bizu specification includes anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution and brake assist to the safety specification of the cars.
In terms of equipment, Bizu models come with Bluetooth connectivity, while Megane and Scenic models add electric heated door mirrors, understeer control, ESC and keyless entry.
The Clio, Renault's popular supermini, has been fitted with a body-coloured rear spoiler and brushed chrome effect front fog light surrounds to give it a sportier feel.
Clio customers can also specify Bizu models in three or five-door variations as well as the rarer Sport Tourer.
As an added incentive, Renault is offering three free music downloads from Play.com for every customer who test drives one of the Bizu models.
The Bizu range starts at £6,595 for the Twingo, which comes in at £2,000 less than the previously lowest price model.
This is for the 1.2-litre 16V petrol model delivering 75hp. This engine is also available on all Clio Bizu cars alongside a 1.5-litre diesel.
The Clio Bizu 3dr starts from £8,595, the five-door from £9,195 and the Sport Tourer is priced at £10,145.
Moving up Renault's product range, the Megane Bizu hatchback costs £11,595 and the estate £12,395. Both models are offered with Renault's 1.6-litre 100hp petrol engine.
Finally, the large Scenic MPV in Bizu limited edition form is priced at £12,595. The only engine choice for the Scenic is the 1.6 VVT 110hp petrol unit offering 38.2mpg on the combined cycle.
