New Peugeot Expert van on sale now
The Peugeot Expert van has been updated for 2012 with a new design, more equipment and cleaner, greener engines and has arrived at Peugeot UK dealerships this month.
The panel van will be the star of Peugeot’s stand at the CV Show in Birmingham on 24-26 April in both panel van and minibus (Tepee) form, the French van maker has revealed.
Peugeot says the new Expert van will come with a more ‘modern’ appearance including a new front end inspired by Peugeot’s new car range such as the 508 and the new Peugeot 308.
Under the bonnet, Peugeot has introduced a series of diesel engines to the Peugeot Expert range to comply with new, stricter CO2 emissions regulations.
As a result the new set of engines now includes a 1.6-litre diesel developing 90bhp and a 2.0-litre diesel in 128bhp and 163bhp configurations.
Other improvements include two lengths, two heights and a new, upmarket interior for the Peugeot Expert Tepee version.
The interior now comes with nine seats, a larger boot and more safety equipment such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), cruise control, a speed limiter and tyre under-inflation detection.
The new Peugeot Expert van and Peugeot Expert Tepee minibus were first revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March prior to their UK launch.
Peugeot says the new van will come with CO2 emissions as low as 168g/km and improved fuel economy.
It will also come with the option of a six-speed automatic gearbox for the more powerful 163bhp, 2.0-litre diesel engine.
New 2012 Peugeot Expert prices start from around £16,000 before VAT to UK customers.
