Hyundai gives the i10 a new premium trim level
Hyundai has announced the addition of a new range-topping trim level to its popular i10 city car line-up, offering class-leading levels of comfort.
The new Premium SE trim is available to order now and will priced from £11,995 when specified with a manual gearbox, while opting for an automatic transmission will cost £12,650.
Benefits of opting for the new trim include 15-inch alloy wheels, an electric tilting and sliding glass sunroof, plus rear parking sensors, chrome effect door handles and climate control.
New smart key technology
The Premium SE i10 will also come with a smart key that features a built-in engine stop-start button, plus heated front seats and a heated steering wheel to boost comfort for drivers.
Along with the introduction of the new trim level, Hyundai is also making the space saver spare tyre a standard feature on all i10 models specified in SE trim or above.
Hyundai is also offering SE customers a new Connectivity Pack option, which will add Bluetooth mobile device connectivity with voice control, plus steering-mounted audio control and rear speakers.
Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai UK’s president and CEO, said: “Since its launch a year ago, we’ve already sold over 25,000 units of the new generation i10 in the UK.
“The introduction of Premium SE will look to build on this success by providing customers with competitive levels of technology, without the need to compromise on the small car package.”
"Best city car"
Having originally went on sale January last year, the new i10 has already scooped a total of nine awards, the most recent of which was its second What Car? Best City Car award in two years.
What Car? judges were particularly impressed with the i10’s high quality interior, plus its ease of driving and list of features that rivals that of many larger and more expensive cars.
Boasting one of the roomiest cabins of any city car and a large boot capacity that can expand to a maximum of 1,046 litres, the i10 is perhaps the most practical choice in the current city car market.
Its good looks and useable interior are complemented further by a range of frugal engines, which deliver sparky performance but with impressive economy and CO2 emissions as low as only 98g/km.
Hyundai states that the i10 also features class-leading road noise levels, plus a suspension set up that has been specifically tweaked to deliver the most dynamic driving experience possible.
The Hyundai i10 range is available to buy from Perrys Hyundai dealership in Luton now, with price starting from just £8,595.
