Fiat Punto gets enhanced specifications
Providing customers with outstanding value for money, the Fiat Punto is available with either three or five doors and comes with a host of low-emission Euro 5 engines.
The engine line-up includes the base 1.2-litre 69bhp petrol unit, a 1.4-litre 77bhp petrol powerplant, a 1.4-litre 77bhp Dualogic petrol engine, a larger and more powerful 1.4-litre 105bhp MultiAir petrol version, a more economical 0.9-litre 85bhp TwinAir petrol variant and a 1.3-litre 85bhp MultiJet diesel engine.
Fiat's popular supermini now also features a revised model line-up, with four main trim levels available for customers. The trim levels are: entry-level 'Pop' models, upgraded 'Easy' versions, further enhanced 'GBT' variants and the new 'Sporting' specification.
The previously-available 'Lounge' and 'TwinAir' trim levels have been removed from the range, with Fiat's award-winning TwinAir engine now available for use in both 'Easy'- and 'GBT'-specified models.
All Fiat Punto models come equipped with a host of standard features. Base 'Pop' variants come with Dualdrive electric power steering, radio/CD/MP3 player, electric front windows, remote central locking, driver, passenger and window airbags and a height-adjustable driver's seat.
Enhancements to the specification include the addition of a driver's knee airbag as standard, as well as a new dashboard with diamond embossing and colour-coded door handles and door mirrors.
In addition, both the 'Easy' and 'GBT' trim levels have received additional black 'Castiglio' fabric seats, along with additional front fog lights (with cornering function), side airbags and dashboard and door ambient lighting.
All 'GBT' models also come with 16-inch, seven-spoke 'Sportline' alloy wheels, which Fiat has included as a replacement for the previous 15-inch 'Sportline' alloy wheels.
The new Fiat Punto 'Sporting' trim reinforces the model's sporty credentials, by adding sports suspension, sports leather steering wheel, dark tinted privacy glass, chrome exhaust tailpipe, 'Tarmac finish' dashboard and black interior roof lining, among other features.
'Sporting' models are available with either the 1.4-litre 77bhp petrol engine or the larger and more powerful 1.4-litre 105bhp MultiAir petrol powerplant.
Prices for the newly-enhanced Fiat Punto range from £9950, for the entry-level 'Pop' trim, to £13,955 - for the top of the range 'Sporting' specification.
