Dacia Duster receives a facelift
Dacia has released details for the facelifted version of the popular Duster SUV model.
In keeping with the Dacia brand’s ethos of ultra-affordable cars, prices for the updated Duster will start from only £9,495.
It’s received a number of visual upgrades, including a new chrome front grille with new intakes, plus new branded roof bars as standard.
There’s also a new Duster-badged black tailgate bar, while the range-topping models get 16-inch alloy wheels and body-coloured door handles.
The award-winning Duster also features new options for interior upholstery, with a range of new high-grade cloth options for the seats.
Equipment is surprisingly comprehensive for the Dacia range, even on the entry-level Access model, which gets remote locking and 16-inch wheels.
It also has electric windows, plus electronic stability and traction controls, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Moving up trim grades to the Ambiance version adds exclusive 16-inch wheels, satin chrome doorhandles and chrome detailing inside the cabin.
There’s also a radio and CD player with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, plus rear 60:40 split seats.
The range-topping Laureate model, meanwhile, gets 16-inch alloy wheels, plus electric mirrors, cruise control and a seven-function trip computer.
Satin chrome detailing features both in the cabin and on the exterior, while the steering wheel comes trimmed in leather.
Power comes courtesy of a range of two engines, which includes a 104bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine that comes with the entry-level Access model.
The mid-range and range-topping Laureate versions, meanwhile, come with a 106bhp 1.5-litre turbodiesel as standard, but a 108bhp is available if the Duster is specified with four-wheel drive.
Dacia’s Duster model has proven to be one of the marque’s most popular models, with more than a million built as of April.
Available in over 100 countries including the UK, the model’s cabin space, all-terrain ability and no-nonsense has both helped the Duster to win favour with customers around the globe.
Last year alone, the Duster sold more than 376,000 worldwide, with 9,800 of those sold in the UK alone.
The Duster isn’t the only successful model in the Dacia range either, after the Sandero was named the best small car under £12,000 by What Car? in May.
Prices for the revamped Duster range starts from £9,495, while the Sandero is available from £6,795.
