Citroen C3, C3 Picasso special editions launched
The C3 and C3 Picasso 'Connexion' special editions will feature satellite navigation with Bluetooth and automatic air conditioning on top of the standard VTR+ specification.
The satellite navigation includes a full colour screen and according to Citroen: "Brings advanced convenience to drivers who like to remain connected and in control on the move - with safe, easy and enjoyable communication, entertainment and guidance right at their fingertips."
The C3 Connexion special edition will be available with the 1.4-litre 75hp petrol or a similar size diesel unit developing 70hp.
Both will receive 16" alloy wheels, exterior chrome touches and a new interior including refreshed upholstery and dark-tinted rear windows.
This adds to the standard equipment including the large 'Zenith' panoramic windscreen, cruise control, CDMP3 player and front foglights.
In terms of safety, the C3 Connexion features curtain airbags and anti-lock brakes as standard.
The larger C3 Picasso Connexion gets none of the exterior styling but adds automatic headlamps, automatic rain-sensitive windscreen wipers and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.
Connexion special editions are only available for the 1.6-litre HDi C3 Picasso and comes with a manual transmission.
The Connexion range has a £500 or £600 premium over the standard VTR+ models, but Citroen says the extra equipment would normally cost over £1,000 if added as options.
The Citroen C3 Connexion 1.4-litre petrol with a manual gearbox is priced at £13,790. The diesel version, again with a manual gearbox, costs £14,890 on-the-road.
The single 1.6-litre HDI Citroen C3 Picasso Connexion is priced at £15,895 on-the-road.
