Volkswagen unveils "aggressive" Tiguan R Line model
Volkswagen is adding to its line-up with an "aggressive" addition to the Tiguan range.The R Line model is set to be available from summer and promises "stylish" elements inside and out.
It is based on the Sport vehicle but comes with a number of changes, such as blistered wheel arches, 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and a matte chrome grille section.
According to the manufacturer, 255/40 tyres give the car a "purposeful stance".
Features inside the R Line include contoured sport seats, aluminium pedals, four airbags, sports suspension and climate control.
Five colours will be on sale - Candy White, Mountain Grey, Biscay Blue, Reflex Silver and Deep Black.
Volkswagen said prices will begin at £24,635 for a 2.0-litre 140 PS version, although the top-of-the-range 2.0-litre TSI will start at £26,305.
Meanwhile, earlier this month saw the brand's Golf model declared 2009 World Car of the Year at the New York International Motor Show.
