Volkswagen Tiguan details announced
Car buyers on the lookout for a new 4x4 have been put on alert after Volkswagen announced details of the new Tiguan.Although orders will be accepted at Volkswagen car dealerships for the compact multi-purpose vehicle from November 2007, the Tiguan will not formally arrive on garage forecourts until February 2008.
When it arrives, prospective owners will be given the opportunity to choose between a two-litre diesel version and a 1.4-litre petrol alternative.
Moreover, two further petrol engines and one more diesel variant are expected to be made available at some point in 2008.
Prices for the 4x4 will start from approximately £19,000, which may be of interest to car buyers working to a strict budget.
However, motorists looking for a more compact drive may wish to consider other vehicles within the Volkswagen family.
Models such as the Golf, the New Beetle and the Polo are available now from Volkswagen car dealerships across the UK.
