Volkswagen prepares for test day
Volkswagen is getting ready for a day of testing, which is due to take place next week.May 21st will see the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) get together to try out new models at Millbrook Proving Ground.
Ahead of its official availability at Volkswagen dealerships on May 22nd, the "eagerly awaited" Golf GTI will be up for testing at the event.
The car, which has an advanced 2.0-litre TSI engine, is equipped with lower suspension, springs and dampeners so drivers get "the on-road experience they expect of the brand".
Aesthetic changes to the new Golf include an "aggressive" front bumper, a new grille with GTI badge, a slightly wider body and smoked rear light lenses.
The SMMT's aim is to support and promote the motor industry by working in close collaboration with member companies.
It also promotes and "acts as the voice" of the sector to the media, government and stakeholders.
