Volkswagen 'predicts the future'
Cars with the internet could be the future of motoring, according to Volkswagen.The manufacturer is currently displaying a Tiguan which incorporates the world wide web at the International Suppliers Fair in Wolfsburg.
Drivers of the vehicle are presented with information on life in the German city on the display of the navigation system.
Volkswagen claims the spectrum of the facts provided is broad and ranges from cultural events to interesting destinations on Wolfsburg.
It adds the Tiguan is constantly receiving information which falls under the categories of city life, travel and wellness.
The addition of the internet also allows motorists to check whether the car's doors or locked or if the tank is full from a PC or iPod at home.
In other Volkswagen news, the company recently announced it had expanded its Eos convertible coupe range by introducing a new entry-level model which costs £585 less than any of the previous versions of the vehicle.
