Volkswagen cars praised for reliability
The durability of Volkswagen motors has been independently praised by a field marketing agency after it announced plans to lease more than a dozen superminis from the German automotive giant.Gecko has struck a deal to acquire 14 1.9-litre diesel Golfs and a Passat on a 24-month lease basis.
Explaining why the company decided to add to its existing fleet of 32 leased vehicles, Gecko's managing director Dan Todaro explained that he was impressed by the "reliability" of Volkswagen vehicles.
And he added that the vehicles reflect positively upon the company as a whole.
"These are aspirational cars, which are very well equipped and portray just the right image," he opined.
Recently, the automaker announced that a two-litre diesel Tiguan and a 1.4-litre petrol variant would arrive in Volkswagen car dealerships across the UK in February 2008.
However, advanced orders for the compact 4x4 will be accepted from November 2007.
