New VW Golf estate may be worth waiting for
Motorists who are starting to think about trading in their current car may want to hang on until the latest model from Volkswagen arrives in UK showrooms.The Golf estate will be available to order from October, with first deliveries scheduled for early next year and - if the manufacturer's comments are anything to go by - it should be worth waiting for.
According to the company, the latest incarnation of the auto is greener, safer and smarter than its predecessors.
It claimed: "The new generation Golf estate has been unveiled featuring a fresh look, revised engines and the latest comfort and safety technologies."
Motorists keen to reduce their impact on the environment will be able to opt for the BlueMotion version of the car and there will be the usual three specification levels to choose from - the Sportline, SE and S.
In other news, Volkswagen recently announced its new Scirocco R is the fastest accelerating and most powerful edition of the model ever produced.
