New entry-level Eos introduced
Volkswagen has introduced a new Eos convertible coupe.The S trim will cost £585 less than the current entry-level version of the model - which will gain extra specification and will now be named SE.
According to the manufacturer, the Sport and Individual editions will still be available and will also be kitted out with additional equipment.
Prices for the model now start at £19,440 on the road.
All versions will feature a range of standard equipment including ABS, Electronic Stabilisation Programme, climatic semi-automatic air conditioning, remote control central locking with alarm, 16-inch alloy wheels and five-section electric roof system.
Buyers who move up to the SE edition will receive additional technology such as rear parking sensors and a multifunction computer.
Volkswagen stated over 12,800 Eos models have been sold since the car's launch in July 2006.
Earlier this month, the manufacturer revealed it had delivered 4.8 million vehicles worldwide between January and September this year.
