New concept Golf unveiled
Volkswagen has unveiled the latest edition of the Golf GTI in concept form ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show next month.According to the manufacturer, the new vehicle uses the latest advances in drivetrain and chassis technology design to enhance the purity of the motoring experience.
Specially tuned dampers, springs and anti-roll bars are joined by the option of adaptive chassis control which is made up of adjustable pneumatic dampers, it notes.
For the first time, the new GTI also features an electronic limited slip differential linking to an electronic stabilisation programme (ESP) system to improve responses and maximise traction, Volkswagen explains.
"As with all Golf models the new GTI concept is fitted with a high level of standard equipment including seven airbags, a CD stereo, climate control and ESP," it concludes.
The Paris Motor Show is due to take place from October 4th to 19th.
