Motorsport event may attract more drivers to VW dealerships
More drivers may be inspired to pay a visit to their local Volkswagen car dealership after watching the action at a motoring event this weekend.The manufacturer's Racing Cup is due to take place at Silverstone and the group described the championship as being one of the most competitive amateur challenges around.
Meanwhile, people attending the event may catch a glimpse of a famous face behind the wheel of one of the cars on the track, as snooker ace Ronnie O'Sullivan will be lining up on the grid.
He explained it was early days in his life as a racing driver and said he was not expecting to finish near the top.
But, the 33-year-old said he was thoroughly enjoying his latest leisure activity.
"Doing a ball sport as a hobby just reminds me of what I do for a living," he explained.
"I love cars and I love driving," he added.
Meanwhile, Volkswagen recently announced prices for the new Polo will start at £10,035.
