Motorists may welcome garage support for code
Wherever motorists buy their autos - from Volkswagen to Vauxhall car dealerships - they may be pleased to hear garages offering vehicle repair services are showing support for industry guidelines on customer service.According to Motor Codes - the organisation that introduced the scheme a year ago - the majority of workshops that subscribed to the programme last August are now signing up for another year.
Director Chris Mason commented: "This impressive response is firm evidence of the commitment the industry continues to show towards delivering ever-increasing levels of customer service."
The code of practice was introduced to improve standards in the auto repair industry and help drivers identify responsible garages.
Businesses keen to sign up to the initiative are required to pay £75 a year.
