Green drivers may want to pay visit to VW dealership
Motorists who plan to update their current auto in the coming year with one that can help them reduce their carbon footprint may be well advised to pay a visit to their local Volkswagen car dealership.The manufacturer has announced it is releasing new BlueMotion versions of its Passat, Golf and Polo models in the UK in 2010.
All three vehicles are capable of covering at least 840 miles between trips to the pump, the carmaker pointed out.
Meanwhile, the Passat releases 114 g/km of CO2, the Golf 99 g/km and the Polo 87 g/km.
Volkswagen described the last model as one of the most efficient vehicles on the market.
Prices for the autos and specification details are to be announced closer to their release dates.
In other news, it was recently revealed the new Polo has been awarded the maximum five-star protection rating from Euro Ncap.
Volkswagen described the vehicle as the "safest compact car in the world".
