Golf receives another award
Car buyers looking for a vehicle which is suitable for driving the kids around may want to head to their nearest Volkswagen dealership.The manufacturer's updated Golf - that arrived in showrooms earlier this year - has just been named Best Small Family Car by Fleet News.
According to the judging panel the revised version of the model is great value for money and offers a range of fuel-efficient engines.
The vehicle was also praised for its excellent build quality and impressive residuals.
Fleet News commented: "The latest evolution of the Golf has picked up where the previous model left off."
Vincent Kinner from Volkswagen said the company was delighted with the reaction to the new edition of the vehicle.
The latest honour from Fleet News comes after What Car? magazine also named the model its number one small family motor for 2009.
Earlier this month, the Golf received a top five-star safety rating from Euro Ncap.
