Golf R 'the fastest Volkswagen car'
Customers looking to visit a Volkswagen car dealership may be interested in details of the manufacturer's fastest ever car - the Golf R.The motor is available at £28,930 - and is the quickest-accelerating vehicle the company has yet produced - hitting zero to 62 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds.
Alternatively, the Scirocco R boasts a 2.0-litre TSI four-cylinder engine with 258 lbs ft of torque, which could provide motorists with a suitably powerful driving experience.
Priced at £26,945, the motor comes complete with an electronic cross-axle traction system designed to improve grip on the road.
Lovers of fast cars may be excited by the prospect of driving the Scirocco R from zero to 62 miles per hour in six seconds, with an efficiency rate of 34.9 miles per gallon.
Meanwhile, the interiors of each car are fitted out with sports seating and a black leather steering wheel.
Regarding technology, the manufacturer claims the motors are energy efficient, adding: "Because TSI engines are cleaner, you'll also save on car tax."
