Golf GTD prices announced
People planning on heading down to their local Volkswagen dealership this June in order to pick up the new Golf GTD may be excited to hear the manufacturer has announced prices for the model.Available to order immediately, the diesel-powered car will be priced from £21,850.
Motorists paying this will be able to drive away with the three-door, six-speed manual version of the model.
For an extra £585, buyers will be able to opt for the five-door edition and a supplement of £1,305 will allow customers to choose the Golf GTD with automatic gearbox.
Powered by a 2.0-litre common rail TDI engine, the car is capable of a top speed of 138 mph and can accelerate to 62 mph in 8.1 seconds.
Average fuel consumption stands at 53.3 mpg and the vehicle offers carbon dioxide emissions of 139 g/km.
First deliveries of the model are scheduled for June 22nd.
Meanwhile, the Golf was recently named the World Car of the Year.
