Accolade may inspire motorists to visit local VW dealership
More motorists may be inspired to pay a visit to their local Volkswagen car dealership after the manufacturer scooped a couple of awards.Auto Express named the Golf GTI the Best Hot Hatch, while the Golf drove away with the title in the compact family auto category.
Commenting on the first vehicle, the magazine said it was one of the most desirable motors on the planet.
It stated: "Whether you are embarking on a long motorway drive, a city commute or rural sprint, the GTI makes the perfect companion."
Meanwhile, the second winning car was praised for offering a cabin that rivals those of some of the best small executive models.
The publication said the vehicle does everything to extremely high standards.
In other news, Volkswagen recently added to its Touran range with a new Match trim.
The MPV comes with an additional £1,600 worth of equipment compared to the SE version.
