University "delighted" to work with Vauxhall Insignia
A Vauxhall Insignia is to be used by university students learning about car design - and the course's director said he is "delighted".David Browne heads up the Automotive Design department at Coventry University's School of Art & Design, which was given one of the cars.
The faculty will use it to teach in areas such as assembly methods, styling, brand characteristics and ergonomics evaluation.
Mr Browne, who received the keys from Paolo De Luca, GM UK special projects manager, said it was "a uniquely valuable teaching aid".
He added: "Having a full size car to work on gives us so much scope for realistic design study."
Meanwhile, Vauxhall announced this week it is to team up with more illustrators and designers later this month.
A Corsa, which is sold at many Vauxhall dealerships, will be customised on July 29th in aid of a roller disco event in London.
Celebrities set to make an appearance at the bash include Alfie Allen and Sophie Ellis Bextor.
