Vauxhall announces cash-back deal
Vauxhall has announced an offer which will see car buyers receive five per cent cash-back on new models purchased through its zero per cent finance schemes.According to the manufacturer, its You Pay, We Pay deal means people buying most new Tigras, Merivas, Astras and Zafiras could end up walking away with a cheque which is equivalent to five per cent of the sum financed when they take delivery of their vehicle.
It also pointed out no deposit is required for the two-year interest-free offer.
Commenting on the deal, retail sales director Andy Dunstan said: "With many new car buyers unsure of what the future holds, we felt that Vauxhall needed to raise the bar in the market and offer something extra."
He added the best part of the scheme was the fact it put money back in the pockets of cash-strapped consumers.
Meanwhile, Vauxhall recently reported it had registered more cars in Scotland during 2008 than any other manufacturer.
