Vauxhall Vectra successor snapped
Motorists looking to upgrade their Vectra have been given a sneak peek of the next-generation version - a full year before it arrives in Vauxhall car dealerships.Pictures of the all-new design, obtained by automotive magazine Auto Express, confirm that the model will feature a new platform, a comprehensive makeover and an advanced road safety system.
According to the report, the new Vectra will be the first Vauxhall motor to come equipped with the Traffic Assist device, which combines radar and video tracking technology to identify possible obstacles up ahead before automatically engaging the vehicle's brakes.
Moreover, the British automaker's restyling is set to give the family car a more "sporty feel".
"With a jutting nose dominated by a big chrome V-shaped grille, faired-in lower spotlights and streamlined headlamps, there will be no mistaking the new Vectra for anything else on the road," the previewer remarked.
Last month, Vauxhall also targeted sporty motorists with the Tigra Exclusiv Red - a special-edition model that features scarlet leather seats and red door trim inserts at no extra cost.
