Vauxhall relaunches Corsa SRi
After an absence of two years, the Vauxhall Corsa SRi is set to return as part of the manufacturer's range of models.Describing the car as one the of country "best-loved" hatch-backs, Vauxhall said the new SRi offers a high level of "driving excitement".
Aimed at buyers who would not necessarily want the power offered by the VXR, the SRi comes in two variations – a 150PS turbo 1.6-litre engine and a 125PS 1.7 Diesel.
While the diesel offers an "impressive" level of acceleration, speeding from zero to 60mph in 9.3 seconds, the petrol model boasts a top speed of 130 mph and goes from zero to 6mph in 7.6 seconds.
Earlier in the month, Vauxhall reported that by the end of August it had sold 215,115 new cars so far this year and increased its market share from 13.30 per cent last year to 14.14 per cent.
