Vauxhall used for art exhibition
Vauxhall dealerships may show off the newest and best models, but an old one has been used for an art exhibition due to go on show next month.The Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is set to take place on June 14th and, for £3 a ticket, it will involve various fashion designers, collectors and rarities.
Curators Pearce & Ramsey will be involved with the event, having selected the best works from a young generation of British artists and placing them in a Vauxhall Astra.
Natasha Law, whose style combines line drawings and industrial materials, is set to show off an Astra Sport Hatch she has covered in pictures of feminine shapes, while Studio Voltaire and Donald Urquhart plan to decorate an Astra TwinTop and encourage others to help out.
"There is something to suit any collector's pocket and a credit crunch beating selection of works from up and coming artists make this the ultimate recessionista event," the organiser said.
It will be located at the Truman Brewery, which is located in east London.
