Vauxhall sales pick up, survey says
Sales in a number of Vauxhall models appeared in the top ten marques of cars sold last year, according to new figures.Featuring second in the chart of Britain's best selling car, which was compiled by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), is the Vauxhall Astra, which saw sales of 105,296 last year.
Also in the top ten were the company's Corsa and Zafira marques, which sold 73,923 and 47,527 over the course of 2006, according to Channel 4.
Despite this, overall sales of new cars dropped last year by 3.9 per cent, with the chief executive of the SMMT attributing the fall to a decrease in levels of consumer confidence:
Meanwhile, a Yorkshire-based digital printer has created a number of reproduction cut-outs of the five C'mon puppets featured in the recent advertising campaign for the Vauxhall Corsa, reports Print Week.
Vauxhall currently offers a range of models including the Agila, Meriva, Monaro, Signum, Tigra and Vectra.
