Vauxhall owners alerted to discounted air conditioning checks

Vauxhall owners have been put on alert after it was revealed that they can get their air conditioning units checked over for discounted rates.

The basic debugging service is priced at £29.99 and takes half an hour, as trained Vauxhall experts use biocides to get rid of bacteria or mould developing in the air conditioning system.

Alternatively, the full service costs £89.99 and involves testing the unit for leaks as well as filtering gas within the system.

Both services are available until September 2007 at participating Vauxhall MasterFit centres, which were originally designed by the British automaker and feature Vauxhall-trained motoring technicians.

The news may be of interest to motorists considering the purchase of an Astra small family car.

Recently, automotive magazine Auto Express obtained leaked pictures of the all-new Astra, which features an integrated satellite-navigation system and hands-free phone kit.

Moreover, the vehicle also incorporates a lower nose than ever before to create a more sporty demeanour, the report suggested.
