Vauxhall discloses prices for new 4x4
Vauxhall enthusiasts looking to step up in class have been alerted to news that the British-based automaker has announced pricing details for its forthcoming compact 4x4.And motorists who would like to replace their Astra small family car may be interested to know that the new Vauxhall Antara will go on sale for under £20,000, it has been revealed.
Set to appear in Vauxhall car dealerships in July 2007, the Antara will come in three distinct trim levels - the S, the E and the SE.
And prices for the entry-level S model will start from £19,850 on the road, which includes features such as air conditioning, an MP3-compatible CD player, a remote control ultrasonic alarm and 17-ins alloy wheels as standard.
Commenting on the incoming model, an automotive journalist writing in carpages predicted it could provoke jealousy from rival sports utility vehicle (SUV) owners.
"With its stylish looks, high-quality interior and massive level of standard equipment, the new Vauxhall Antara is the sort of car which could start to make drivers of bigger SUVs start to think they've been short-changed," the journalist said.
Alternatively, motorists looking for a change may wish to consider test driving models such as the Vectra, the Signum or the Monaro at their local Vauxhall car dealerships.
