Vauxhall Corsa 'tops European sales charts'
The new Vauxhall Corsa is in high demand from motorists across the continent, according to the latest industry figures.Statistics from automotive market intelligence specialist Jato Dynamics indicate that Vauxhall sold 39,393 Corsas in Europe over the course of January 2007 - more than any other model, reports CARkeys.
Runner-up in the study was the Fiat Punto with 36,625 sales, followed by the Renault Clio with 36,341 bought.
"The new Corsa has proved to be a major hit across Europe to the extent that it was the best-selling car in January," remarked the automotive journalist at CARkeys.
Earlier this month, the new Corsa was given a maximum five-star rating for the "running costs" category in a review by automotive publication Netcars.
According to the Netcars reviewer, the possibility of cheap Vauxhall car insurance deals and strong fuel economy mean that "the Corsa promises to be one of the cheapest cars to run in the UK".
