Police choice may result in more visits to Vauxhall dealerships
Motorists who think if an auto is good enough for the police, it should comfortably meet all their requirements as well may want to pay a visit to their local Vauxhall car dealership. The manufacturer's new Astra is to be used by law enforcement officers up and down the country.
Due for release late this year, Vauxhall claimed the model is a safe choice.
It explained the vehicle has undergone stringent testing to ensure it is suitable for use by the emergency services.
General Motors Special Vehicles manager Dick Ellam commented: "The Astra is the backbone of many UK police fleets and has proven itself fit for purpose time and time again."
Some 900 examples of the model were sold to police forces across the country last year.
The updated version of the car is due to be unveiled at this month's Frankfurt International Motor Show and Vauxhall claimed buyers will be able to choose from a range of highly efficient diesel and petrol engines.
