New Vauxhall Astra is 'great value for money'

Motorists who want a high-spec model without paying over the odds may be tempted to visit their local Vauxhall car dealership.

The manufacturer has claimed the new Astra represents great value for money.

Buyers opting for the entry-level version will pay less than £300 more than they would have done for the auto's predecessor.

However, Vauxhall pointed out for the extra money, motorists will receive an impressive range of standard equipment, including air conditioning, a radio/CD player with mp3 compatibility, electronic stability control and 16-inch wheels.

Meanwhile, models higher up the range come with additional features, such as electronic parking brake, a centre armrest and active head restraints.

Prices start at £15,675 and it is available to order from Vauxhall car dealerships up and down the country immediately.

Initial deliveries are scheduled for December.

Previously, Vauxhall revealed the updated Astra is to be used by various police forces across the UK.
