Rolls-Royce looks to meet demand with full production

Automaker Rolls-Royce has claimed that it is working at full production in order to supply vehicle demand.

The chairman and chief executive of the firm Ian Robertson has stated that these are "exciting times" for the firm.

Vehicle production is up by 22 per cent and may continue throughout 2008 now that its Phantom Drophead Coupe has been unveiled.

This comes as the Telegraph has reported the firm will employ 300 to 400 extra workers to form a second assembly line at its Goodwood site in Sussex in order to cope with the extra demand from consumers.

Mr Robertson commented on the company's plans for the coming months and years.

He said: "Our challenge is to cope with exceptional customer demand. Now we look forward to significant changes for the whole organisation as we prepare for the launch of our future model series."
