Proton 'spoiling consumers over autumn'

Malaysian car manufacturer Proton has announced part of its plans for autumn.

The automaker will be offering consumers a limited edition GEN-2 GLS model - available in two engines sizes - for £7,995 and £8,595 respectively.

Remote central locking, air conditioning and 15-inch alloys all come as standard with the vehicles, with the company also pointing to its "unique interior and exterior design and styling".

People who have already picked up Proton's city car the Savvy Style may be interested to learn about the half-price offer the firm has on an upgrade pack.

For £225, motorists can pick up fog lights and a rear spoiler.

"The spoiler adds to the Savvy Style's smart look which includes 15" alloy wheels, a bee sting aerial, honeycomb light clusters, front fog lamps and wide-bore chrome central exhaust which all accentuate the Savvy's sleek body shape," said the company.

Proton was established in Malaysia in 1983.
