Peugeot 207 CC receives five stars for safety
The Peugeot 207 CC has recorded a maximum five-star safety rating in the latest European New Car Assessment Programme (EuroNCAP) tests, which may be of interest to motorists looking for a safer drive.Further re-enforcing its safety credentials, Peugeot has pointed out that the model received a higher safety score than any other supermini convertible currently available.
It is thought that the introduction of twin impact-absorbing structures helped the vehicle achieve the top rating from EuroNCAP.
These additions are designed to share energy more effectively in the event of a crash, reducing the risk that any one part of the vehicle will encounter a dangerous level of deformation.
And, as motorists who have already test-driven the vehicle at a Peugeot car dealership will be well aware, the 207 CC also comes equipped with pre-tensioning seatbelts and five airbags for added peace of mind.
More sports-minded motorists may prefer to try out the 207 CTi THP 175, which boasts a rear spoiler and top speeds of 137 mph, when it finally arrives in June 2007.
